AquaWater09901 have you confirmed that this works to get you to 28MPH? Also recognize you have the Big Swell I believe. Have been trying this on the Big Sur, as others have said, perhaps with other models as well they haven't been able to change it.

Perhaps you even have a different LCD Display? I can see on the back of mine it says it is Model AK47.

I have tried searching for hacks on Model AK47 but haven't come up with anything, but see this is in fact the display as quantities can be bought from Alibaba etc, showing this display.

I did notice I can get to some type of undocumented menu on mine with PO levels and settings by holding down the up and down at the same time while the display is on.

Edit:

Ah, I figured out how to remove the limit!!

These PO settings look to be standard.
So get to the PO settings by holding the Up/Down at the same time after the LCD is on.
Click on the power button to go through the PO's.
PO8 is the limit! This is in kmh, this was set to 32, bump this up with the up arrow to 41. That is the max I could change it to. This works out to 25.5 mph.
After this change I can get to 25mph going down a hill.
On a straight road I can cruise at about 22 with full throttle. Pedaling fast like crazy I can get it up 24.

So this is a bit of an increase. Perhaps with a bigger front sprocket I could peddle a bit normally and get to 25.

Perhaps it is a limit of the 350W motor or the battery to get me with throttle to 23 or so, but I don't think the controller itself will let me go above 41kph with motor assist.

Possibly changing wheel size, PO6, would allow assist at faster speed?

FYI, I see some people have commented about their having 5 instead of 3 levels. This can be set in the PO5 setting.

Here are the PO settings for an entirely different controller, but they look pretty close from what I see. https://elecbikeparts.com/pages/s...ser-manual

There could be some other cool settings to see what they are and work with them.

for example: P12 PAS Start Strength
0-5, Higher = more assistance
Amount of assistance given when you start pedaling.

I am thinking this must be low. It seems to give very little help right away. Perhaps a safety feature set at factory? But I want help right away!

Or PO9 might affect how quickly it helps?
P09 Throttle Response
0 for instant throttle, 1 for delayed throttle
Sets whether pressing throttle and motor beginning to spin is instant, or whether there is a delay between the actions.

Edit: P09 was already set at 0 and can't be changed
P12 was set at 3 and can't go higher, but it can go lower.

FYI, read on this site https://power-bicycle.com/ebike-power/ that hub motors are pretty much limited to 25.

"Once the ebike is travelling at 25 MPH, the controller-wheel speed is maxed out. You can't go far over 25 MPH on most hub motors unless the motor & controller pair are designed for higher speeds."

This guy also talks about a smoothing circuit the mfgs implement for greater distance. Something about a loop back wire that can be removed to increase initial assistance but at
a sacrifice in distance.

Is this random china stuff?

Not a lot of reviews. I got a warning going to this site (possibly fraudulent?).

Why don't they sell any ebikes on their non-corporate site?

Is anyone else concerned this is a knockoff? Joyridebikes.com is the original site (since 2001) selling Hurley and joyridebike.com (since 2015) is painted with 'weird' all over it.

Is this site legit? Interested in a Big Swell but a bit weary of ordering from this place. Very little information about the bike or this retailer anywhere.

Was wondering if a medium size would work for a 5ft 11 inch person? 150 pounds
Yes, according to specs, it's fine up to 6'2".

What's the difference between the Blackjack and the Carve?

I can't find anything on the blackjack in terms of replacement parts.

I'm almost tempted to go with a Betty because it looks like the battery is easily changeable and it looks like a rebranded SWFT bike.

Any thoughts? I am 6'2

It's all branding, very likely they come from the same manufacturer and a brand label is slapped on them, hence why they look identical.

Yes, it's legitimate, many have received their bikes/scooters, several pages ago, someone looked into the CEO, Phil Howe and he checks out. And they accept Paypal for added protection.

Anyone have a rattle with their Carve or Blackjack over medium/heavy bumps? Trying to troubleshoot, I suspect it just the loose power wires, but haven't isolated yet.

I take me and my son on a huffy Oslo from a previous deal and it has a 250watt hub motor. We go up steep country hills in Michigan no prob.. Just gotta peddle a little bit. We are sticks tho and weigh 190lbs together. I can't believe ppl complain about a 350 or 500 not having enough power for hills.

Just got a helmet. After 30 years of not riding, I got an ebike (not one of these, sorry) and figured I should replace my 30+ year old helmet. Thanks.

Diablo link takes you to a Tailslide. Looks like the same bike (spec wise) but now $240 more expensive after 40% off.

Dead?

The measurement I got is top length of battery is at 17 inches and bottom length of battery is 14 1/2 inches. Width at 2 1/2 inches, height at 2 7/8 inches. Let us know what you find.
Alright, looks like I was able to find a seller, for others who purchased a Diablo, this battery should fit (430mm length) and it seems like you can get up to a 14 Ah battery (stock is around 10 Ah)

Based on description the Diablo frame is steel not aluminum like the Tailslide, but could be a mistake since they look exactly the same. The former is OOS now anyway.

I am going up some short but nasty hills with 350W. Yes you can't just sit on throttle and go 20 mph up hill, but you are wanting to ride a bike, right? Maybe actually use your legs a little bit? I guess if I just wanted to twist and go I would get on my gas scooter.
Everyone's needs are different. I want to peddle a bit and ride a bike. It is a pleasure going up the hills on a 350W. What a breeze compared to the full out gut wrenching effort I used to need to put in!!
I am glad I can't just twist and go up a hill at 25mph, because I know I am too lazy, and that is what I would end up doing instead of adding a little of my own effort to it!
My primary mode of commuting to work is an old, heavy, super comfortable cruiser that I modded myself 3 years ago with a 750W front hub motor that I affectionately call "the beast." I do enjoy moderate exercise on it, but on my 10 mile ride I go over 2 large freeway overpasses and you think I'm NOT going to see how it can handle them on throttle alone? It goes about 15MPH on its own. On a 95 degree day with the sun overhead, I'm glad I have that option.
As you said, everyone's needs are different. If someone wants to know if 350W will get them up a hill on throttle alone because they'll require a bike that can do that, I'd like to help them get that answer. My sister falls in that camp due to medical conditions so I've been helping her find a bike she can ride on the flat roads and throttle up the hills.
