Perhaps you even have a different LCD Display? I can see on the back of mine it says it is Model AK47.
I have tried searching for hacks on Model AK47 but haven't come up with anything, but see this is in fact the display as quantities can be bought from Alibaba etc, showing this display.
I did notice I can get to some type of undocumented menu on mine with PO levels and settings by holding down the up and down at the same time while the display is on.
Edit:
Ah, I figured out how to remove the limit!!
These PO settings look to be standard.
So get to the PO settings by holding the Up/Down at the same time after the LCD is on.
Click on the power button to go through the PO's.
PO8 is the limit! This is in kmh, this was set to 32, bump this up with the up arrow to 41. That is the max I could change it to. This works out to 25.5 mph.
After this change I can get to 25mph going down a hill.
On a straight road I can cruise at about 22 with full throttle. Pedaling fast like crazy I can get it up 24.
So this is a bit of an increase. Perhaps with a bigger front sprocket I could peddle a bit normally and get to 25.
Perhaps it is a limit of the 350W motor or the battery to get me with throttle to 23 or so, but I don't think the controller itself will let me go above 41kph with motor assist.
Possibly changing wheel size, PO6, would allow assist at faster speed?
FYI, I see some people have commented about their having 5 instead of 3 levels. This can be set in the PO5 setting.
Here are the PO settings for an entirely different controller, but they look pretty close from what I see. https://elecbikeparts.c
There could be some other cool settings to see what they are and work with them.
for example: P12 PAS Start Strength
0-5, Higher = more assistance
Amount of assistance given when you start pedaling.
I am thinking this must be low. It seems to give very little help right away. Perhaps a safety feature set at factory? But I want help right away!
Or PO9 might affect how quickly it helps?
P09 Throttle Response
0 for instant throttle, 1 for delayed throttle
Sets whether pressing throttle and motor beginning to spin is instant, or whether there is a delay between the actions.
Edit: P09 was already set at 0 and can't be changed
P12 was set at 3 and can't go higher, but it can go lower.
FYI, read on this site https://power-bicycle.com/ebike-power/ that hub motors are pretty much limited to 25.
"Once the ebike is travelling at 25 MPH, the controller-wheel speed is maxed out. You can't go far over 25 MPH on most hub motors unless the motor & controller pair are designed for higher speeds."
This guy also talks about a smoothing circuit the mfgs implement for greater distance. Something about a loop back wire that can be removed to increase initial assistance but at
a sacrifice in distance.
Not a lot of reviews. I got a warning going to this site (possibly fraudulent?).
Why don't they sell any ebikes on their non-corporate site?
Is anyone else concerned this is a knockoff? Joyridebikes.com is the original site (since 2001) selling Hurley and joyridebike.com (since 2015) is painted with 'weird' all over it.

You didn't buy a bike and you weren't wronged in anyway, yet you insist on posting the same thing over and over. OK we heard you the first three times, move on.
Thousands and thousands of bikes were sold through this deal
Did you charge it completely before use? Mine arrived with 3 green bars but still took 3-4 hours to completely charge.
I did a controller reset today on my big swell and it zeroed the mileage and trip meter. it is a poor design, because it also resets mileage but the trip meter was technically resettable.

Looks like we got ripped off, boys! Best to contact your credit card companies and get a chargeback!
Same. Mine came with issues on September 1st. Total lemon. I've e-mailed them every week for a month nothing but radio silence. I went ahead and filed a chargeback today. Thank god for CC protections.
It will be interesting to see if Joyride rectifies it by then, if not, I guess you end up with a free bike you may be able to get repaired yourself. As in my case, I suspect a bad controller, motor, or possibly even wiring.
When they do get around to responding, it appears it has been positive.
A bit wondering if charge back puts you at the top of the que, so will be interested in a report back.
I did receive the bike I ordered from the Wellbots deal and just put it together today, everything seems to be working great.
These parts look pretty standard, controller, battery, motor. For example on my Betty that isn't working, if Joyride doesn't respond, I will do a chargeback or purchase or return protection, then buy a new 20" rear wheel, or whatever.
His hint, if you are getting power to your display etc, but no help from the motor, it is probably the brake cut off wire.
Sure enough. I disconnected the left brake cut off, then bike ran great.
Then I unscrewed two screws where the cutoff connects to the brake handle, figured out the button wasn't getting pushed in enough when brake was released, so it thought brake was on. Added a piece of cardboard to the button connection area, screwed it back together and it works as intended.
