The Acer Aspire is not a bad everyday computer, as long as you add RAM, switch out the small SSD for a gig, and add a hard drive for file storage. It's certainly not for gaming and video production, but office apps will work fine. Screen is not the best or brightest.

My eBay refurb came with a 2-year warranty, unlike this which has 1.

Specs for Acer Aspire 5 are nice but people have reported failure after few months.

The Acer 315 (14") chromebook was $109 the other day (refurb)

I got one and flashed its firmware to MrChromebox UEFI. While it was listed as refurb looks brand new to me, not a scratch on it.

Everything works except for the audio, apparently no drivers (tried both windows and linux)

Major bummed, that would be a hell of a chultrabook for $109 (14" touchscreen, full numpad etc)

*fingers crossed* someone comes out with Gemini Lake audio drivers,
