Totally depends on the water quality since it makes it 0 ppm. I get water at 20-30 ppm and the filter lasts almost a year. I have heard that it barely lasts a month in places above 200 ppm. YMMV
That is regurgitated junk science that you're preaching because if you actually researched the real amounts of the "good stuff" you'd realize that it is such a tiny insignificant amount that you'd literally get more "valuable minerals" from eating a single bite of enriched bread than you'd get from drinking an entire gallon of tap water. Therefore as long as you are eating anything close to a somewhat healthy diet you'll never see a quantfiable difference in the tiny amount of minerals you're missing in your water, but you'll see a measureable difference in the lack of all the bad things this filter is filtering out such as lead and all the other harmful particles and chemicals.
My results:
Tap (zip 60137) 130
after PUR filter 90
after ZW nada

Quote from Fare :
The tester included is testing for TDS which isn't a good measure of water purity. I did a bunch of research on pitcher filters last week, my takeaways for Zero Water:
ProsBy far the cheapest filter with NSF 53 certification (improves safety). Brita/Pur/other budget options do not have the safety certification. If you are concerned about PFAS/similar and are on a very tight budget Zero Water is your only option.
Cons Included tester is more of a gimmick than a legitimate test
A number of reviews mentioned filters only lasting ~2 weeks
I ended up going with Epic Water at $60, as they were the cheapest safety certified that didn't have sketchy marketing/reviews, but at this price Zero Water is worth a shot.Reverse osmosis filters are best, but usually $200-$1000.
It actually filters PFAS, whereas the others don't? Do you know if they filter chloramine? Actually I learned recently that if you add vitamin C to the water effectively deactivates chlorine and I think also chloramine, but it would be better to get filter that works on that also. It's 1000 mg vitamin C to one bath tub of water for anyone that's interested. ..And should you assume that everyone has PFAS in water or do you have to check your water report?

Bringing it back from the dead. YMMV but my local Socal Walmart has the 12 cup pitcher on clearance for $9.97. Used this coupon and paid just $0.74 for tax. Good luck!
