We've had this air fryer for over a year. My wife uses it for anything she can. Chicken thighs taste like deep-fried . Veggies, etc. Amazon sells perforated basket liners that fit it, making it easier to clean. This has been posted numerous times, but if there's someone looking for a good model, it's worth seeing it again. As with all basket air fryers it's recommended to place them on a heat,-proof pad to protect your countertop. TU

Costco has had the 7 qt version of this for $39 on and off for most of the year. In real world use the 1 qt difference is negligible.

I really like it for the basket style air fryer that it is.

Here is the Costco deal that has been coming and going for most of this year, lots of good comments about the product too:

I got this one 2 years ago for $50.. we are happy but there is no basket.. only a plate with holes too big for if you want to make corn nuts or roast chickpeas... we used it mostly to make chicken.. started out with wings but after they went up to $4lb, we switched to thighs.. turned out great but thghs went up as well to $3lb.. now we are on to legs.. 1st batch wasn't great but we overcooked the 2nd batch and that was the secret.. overcook your legs to the point where they shrink considerably, about 10 extra minutes after the skin turns brown.. then, add wing sauce..

Anyways, we are thinking of getting a 2nd because 1 is not big enough. 2 batches of chicken takes about 45 mins to an hour to cook...

Clean the fry plate on these asap after using. If you don't, two things happen: 1) Food stuffs will get stuck on it permanently 2) Since you are trying to clean stuck on food stuff, the black coating will come off and more stuff will get embedded. Unfortunately a replacement fry plate is about $20. Apart from that, this is a great bit of kit.

Would have been nice if they used titanium and ceramic coatings like they do on fry pans

After the recent Insignia recall, we were forced to get a new one. I chose this model from Costco and am satisfied with the replacement. Biggest drawback is the lack of a removable basket like the first review said. Great thing about this size is that it comes with a rack so that you can have two rows of food cooking. So things are spread a lot more evenly and cooks faster IMO. This thing is also an oven on top of an air fyer and can bake, but have yet to use the feature. Has a preheat setting, as well as an alarm to flip the food halfway through, which are cool to have. Very easy to use. And I thought this would be so much bulkier than my 5 qt Insignia, but it's just a little taller, not wider, so almost takes up the same amount of space as before, which is a huge plus.

185 or thereabouts is ideal for legs and thighs.

I have no problem with getting fryer plate clean , even if it sits while we eat dinner. I use a nylon (fingernail) scrub brush from Aldi in hot soapy water. I have four Gourmia models, two 8 QTs. None of the plate's coating peeled.

This size model can hold a 7 lb whole chicken! That's the largest I cooked in it with no issue.

I paid $50 two yrs ago at Walmart, two different times purchased 2 of them.

I have this exact model, it is garbage. Crisper tray lost its paint and rusted and now the interior of the bucket it losing paint. I've had it for 6 months, I reached out to the company regarding the issues and warranty but I received no response.
