I bought a pair of the tall ones last time they were on sale. Great chairs overall, but the lack of cupholder was an issue the first time I used them so I bought a bunch of different add-on cupholders to try out. This one was by far the best of the cheaper ones and definitely worth grabbing if you have these chairs or are buying them. You can even keep them on when folded up with no issue so it's just set and forget.

I have the bench and am worried about using the handle. Seems like where its sewn into the fabric could rip. Has that happened to anyone?

much higher quailty than tommy bahama, but really serves different purposes. I see these more as camping rather than beach chairs even though they are a similar design.

Interesting - I've been considering these to replace some of the Tommy Bahama chairs I bought a few years ago at Costco that I use primarily for the beach. I'm on the fence because I feel like the padded seat might be hot in the beach sun, and it might get dirty easier from sunscreen. Do you think those are fair criticisms or should I reconsider?

I think you are correct on both accounts. The padded seats are very comfortable but not breathable and sunscreen would quickly having these looking groady. Would be nice if you could remove the material but you cannot.

You should just get new beach chairs. I think Costco is selling a Tommy Bahama 2 pack for 99 shipped these days

Yes, fair. As another poster had mentioned the fabric really isn't great for the beach. Also it doesn't have the cool pocket to carry random beach stuff that you might want.
