Thanks for posting, I've been waiting for these to come back in stock!
Because Brother home printers are workhorses. All the Brother printers I've ever owned have been super reliable and work for years and years. All the other brand printers I've owned (e.g., Lexmark, Canon) crapped out, were intermittently unreliable, or needed frequent attention.

That's why I bought a new Brother from Micro Center.
Refurbs are fine for a lot of things. But after servicing printers for 2 years, I know in my bones that a used printer is a cursed printer.
same question
I got equivalent model new 9+ years ago and it still runs like a champ to this day.
It does tell me I have to replace drum, which I did purchase. But it still prints just fine so I'll keep rolling with the old drum until it stops.
