Korg Minilogue xd is also great. The Minilogue is a digital analog synth, where as this is a frequency modulation (FM) synth. This is one of the best sounding FM synths you will be able to get your hands on.

What is a "digital analog synth"?

I think you mean that the Minilogue XD is an analog subtractive synth with added digital effects and wavetable functions.

The Opsix is a fully digital emulation of FM synthesis.

You're being pedantic here. Minilogue XD has analog oscillators, digital oscillators, analog filter, analog amplifier, DSP effects. Pretty sure that qualifies everything one might imagine "digital analog" to mean.

My turn: What the hell does "fully digital emulation" mean? Do you know what you're talking about? Chipsynth OPS7 is a DX7 emulator. The Opsix is a hardware FM synth.
