I finally got a "compatible" toner set for my multifunction Brother color printer off Amazon because I hadn't realized I was that low on one color and couldn't wait. Didn't have any problems with it though.
Also, check to see if there is a high capacity cartridge for your printer. There are three different cartridges for the one I have, for each color! Brother lists a TN730 (1200 pages) and a TN760 (3000 pages) for this one.
My printer operating costs dropped to almost nothing when I switched from inkjets to lasers. And my printer frustration disappeared. Lasers are virtually trouble-free by comparison.

Or the Brother HLL2390DW refurb for $142.50 after code SAVECART:

I strongly recommend the Brother over the Canon in this case. That extra $43.50 gets you wifi, auto duplexing, 32PPM print speed versus 19PPM, faster scanning, and an overall better built, more current, and longer lasting printer.

That's a great idea.

If you mean print from Mac that's exactly my use-case, that I essentially turned an ancient 20 years old printer into a wireless AirPrint printer. CUPS is an AirPrint server. https://www.developer.c
EDIT: NVM, I didn't see the drop down earlier in order to put in the promo code. I entered the order a few times and then I either finally saw it thinking there was a different section to enter a code but they made it sneaky that you had to click on it to enter a code. Hardly shop walmart.com so maybe I just didn't now.

Btw 2325DW and 2350DW are very similar, whereas 2370DW adds ethernet port which I found very useful. Check out rtings.com for printer reviews and comparisons. Ordered 2370DW from Bestbuy instead.
And bonus for deal-hunters: there are unscrupulous sellers of replacement toners and drums on Amazon who have good products but will basically pay you to use their toner if you just write a review.
In fact, my only beef with these units is that the Brother software (which you don't truly need) tells me every day to "replace drum" when the drum still has a few months of life left.
