This one has been reviewed by youtubers as being quieter and more airflow than the older fan.
Oh yeah, add $15 shipping to that $20 cheapest ever price on DTO for an actual cost of $35 for the old fan. I know I paid about $25 around 4 years ago (for refurb as well, not new) on what I thought was almost the cheapest they had it. (It's $45 + $15 shipping right now = $60).
Therefore this deal for brand new in box; not refurb; with the 2x 4AH non-HP newer batteries is really not that terrible -- if you need the batteries. But there are more valuable tools to get as the free tool instead of the fan with this offer.

That fact is entirely useless to me.
I have this light and it's pretty dang bright!

Also, if you're looking for extra batteries, eBay have ONE+ compatible knockoffs for dirt cheap. I have a few of the 6.0Ah and they work fine!
Is there a discussion thread about the Fan+HP battery vs the Fan+4Ah?
My dog needs a crate fan for shows and Ryobi is what everyone swears by.

A fan is a low amp device, and runs at a constant speed. It is never going to momentarily struggle needing extra torque like a drill, driver, saw. There is zero benefit to a HP battery over a non-HP battery in such devices.
A 4AH non-HP will run the fan identically to a 4AH HP (same speed, same length of time) They both will supply it with up to 4000 ma total. (The amount per hour being a lot less since I guarantee the fan will not pull even close to that and will not vary as stated above.)

That's what I was thinking; people really overcomplicate things.
The fan is low power (current/amps) and won't benefit from "high powered" batteries.
The only real difference (in regards to this fan) between the 2Ah HP and the 4Ah standard will be run time. The 4Ah will run twice as long (approximately).
Any idea what 21700 cells the HP battery is using? Or the 18650s in the standard battery?

this seems like a good option.
with included batteries how long do these last on medium setting (assuming medium setting is good enough for bedroom)
Low: ~41 hrs, Medium: ~12.5 hrs, High: ~7.5 hrs. Charge time ~2hrs.
Used the same battery for Low and High and second battery for medium. Medium setting def. make the most noise but not too loud. It's very quiet on low setting.
It's truly crazy how useful these fans are. I bought one on a whim and have used it for so many things. Every time I take it somewhere people ask about it and are generally impressed. I've used it for camping, working on my car, working in the backyard, to dry out inflatable paddle boards while they're still in their bags (so useful), family vacations, I've even taken it to work a few times!
$99 for fan + 2x4ah batteries is an insane deal
