Laundry Detergent Expert here... actually, I just have a sub to CR online. This is a great deal, and I gave it a TU and bought a bottle, but just an FYI on it's overall ranking by CR. CR scored it a 41. It scored Poor in Coffee and Chocolate stains, Fair in Grass, Blood, and Dirt stains, Good in Salad Dressing and Pretreated stains, and Very Good in Body Oil stains. A score of 41 still is in the "Good" overall rating category, though. So, it's a decent detergent, esp at this price, but it's nowhere near as good as Persil ProClean (84), Tide Ultra (84), or Costco's Kirkland Signature (76) brand detergent.

This site used to have "deals." Lately it feels like clipping coupons with mom.

Deals sites used to be this garden of eden-esque entity. Now that the masses got wind of them and they've been corporatized, the novelty is gone. The real deals aren't as frequent for a number of reasons and even when they do pop up these sites have so much traffic they're gone within minutes. Maybe a paid membership to brickdeals is worth it finally 🤷 ♂️

I agree. Well, not the mother part. It's always the same deals. On the bright side there is a wealth of information within threads.

I agree as well, unfortunately I'm not a huge deal finder and dont contribute as much. But I've been using this app as an awesome deal resource for years... and now I scroll for days till I find a decent item on sale. For whoever still contributes I don't mean to bust chops just stating my Opinion.

This site just pushes amazon for kickbacks. The real deals happen when most people are sleeping

Bought this locally once. Put in my trunk. Opened my trunk to find it everywhere. That car stunk for months even after cleaning it all out. Down in the spare tire well and all. It's a lot stronger scent then most other brands I have used.
Point is that stuff has a very strong scent. Before you jump on a deal if you never tried it go to a store and smell it first.
Oh and always make sure the cap is tight when you buy. Somebody must have sniffed and not closed it completely. Lesson learned. Hopefully this story helps prevent someone else going through it. Man that car stunk!

I love it when they offer extra 5% off for four items but limit the quantity to three.

I hope the mafia knows that it's mediocre for blood stains.

Could you comment on the ECOS detergent found at Costco. Seems cheap but haven't tried it.

Depends on the specific type Costco is selling but ECOS got one of CR's lowest ratings with their Liquidless Laundry Detergent Squares scoring a 22. That's the only ECOS CR tested.
