I bought this model May 2021 and in July 22 the hinges broke. No rough use. Lenovo does not have option to even repair. Costco 2 nd year warranty goes to third party that asks for repair estimate.useless

Wife has been using hers heavily for 3 years now and the only problem is the wire from the charger. Otherwise, we didn't have problems.

Doubt many users need that much memory

Good deal. The display in this one, for the 1st time in Flex series, is a 100% sRGB one, similar one used in Yoga 7i 14 or HP Pavilion Plus 14 Base display option.

The CPU specs [amd.com] say it only supports PCIe 3.0 yet the SSD is PCIe 4.0. Am I missing something?

In 2022 refresh, Lenovo has started using PCIe Gen 4 SSD in all their laptops to streamline the supply. It doesn't matter whether the platform can support the speed. Same for the IdeaPad 5, ThinkBook 14/15. ThinkPad E14/15 L14/15 refreshes with Ryzen 5000 series APUs. It will simply run on Gen 3 speed.

Great deal, 100% sRGB, 16GB, Touchscreen is a plus, battery might be a little small but its manageable with Ryzen, if I wasn't low on cash I would pick this one up for myself too, 5700U is a good workhorse.

I have the same issue, the main difference is the size, Dell has extra 1.6 inches. Ideally looking for a big screen laptop for work and buy a separate smaller tablet for personal. Just really hard to pass at the $600 price point and can't really find any thorough reviews on the Dell.

I own the older version 5600U and the laptop is ideal for office work and surfing the web. The touchscreen is great to act like a tablet. This model is even better with the better screen and faster ssd 4.0. Anyone who says 16gb ram is not enough is full of it. I own laptops that I upgraded to 32 gb ram for gaming, programming, video streaming, or broadcasting. This is a budget laptop so stop comparing to heavy use cases. Best laptop for $600 price range.

In that case lenovo flex is +0.66lb weight, a weaker CPU/iGPU, a proprietary barrel-plug charging port instead of USB-C, HDMI 1.4b (so, no 4k60hz support).
