I'd disagree on numpad. Highly useful for literally any situation you need to input numbers (including making calls).

I run autohotkey scripts from half my keyboard. Having the numpad is great because it's technically different than the top row #s. If you use your laptop for productivity or anything that can be scripted, AHK can be invaluable, and better with a num pad.

Sorry that was unclear, 32gb is $1799 regular, $200 off sale put it at $1599.

Yeah that's too much especially since that's the in major difference you're getting since you can swap out or add a second NVME drive.

I have been looking at various models in Costco. They are all not the same. Check them out in person. The material, feel of the keys are all very different.

The original price delta was $1799 vs 1599. $200. About in line with other manufacturers. Then they did a $100 price drop on the 16GB followed by the $400 advertised sale, where as the 32gb has only had one Costco sale so far for $200 off.

Good point! Just came back from playing around with them. The 16" is noticeably heavier. If you're traveling a lot or in school, that could become an issue. Otherwise it would be fine at home. I hate to say it, but for the second time, I liked the 16" glossy screen over the new 17" matte screen. Played the same 4K videos. Colors just seemed better and popped more. Even though it's only an inch, you do notice the larger screen. so a plus for the 17". For those that hate glossy, it's a no brainer.

Then I played the same video on the 14" Macbook Pro. Yowza!!! Not even close and blew everything there away!!! But that price.............

Yes was same price in store. Both the 16" and 17" were $1099. Tough call to be honest. (As mentioned earlier if you want the lightest, the 17" is the way to go) I have to say, the touch pad location didn't bother me at all. I understand for some it's a huge issue and a complete deal breaker. Wish I knew/understood what they were talking about that's so bad. Seemed fine to me.
