Just a little PSA. Do your research on whether or not you should use these in your HVAC system. These filters can really restrict airflow and make your system work harder unless they are designed to use these kinds of filters. I'm sure someone else will chime in here. I've tried a variety of filters in my system in an attempt to find a good balance between pressure and filtration. These high-filtration filters really restrict airflow in my system and I no longer use them.

When I click the link it says $44.99.

Separate from that, for smaller sizes you'll find better pricing still from Nordic Pure, who manufactures their filters in the US and is well regarded.

Also note that MERV 13 may be too restrictive for older or cheaper air handlers and can cause performance/longevity issues with your system. If you don't specifically need MERV 13, go with whatever makes sense based on your personal/household situation. And most importantly, change out your filters every 1-3 months depending on how often your system is running. I just moved into a house with a heat pump (so it runs most all year) where they hadn't changed it in a year and basically no air was getting through.

Good deal. I just ordered 4 of the lesser 1900 filters for a DIY air purifier for $77.

Despite being made in USA, Nordic Pure/Filterbuy/ETC seem to use less media for similarly rated filters and filter worse than Filtrete.

A HVAC repairman told me the same thing. I have been using Arm and Hammer FPR 6 Air Filter, 4 pack for $20 when it is on sale at Home Depot. I am wondering what is a good balance.

The good thing about the 3M Filtrete filters is that they have more pleats, causing it to overcome the static pressure problem many other high-filtration filters encounter.
