This lenovo is way better when it comes to build quality and processor but keep in mind it has a TN panel. I have two of these and really like them: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/leno...Id=6500335
Build quality? Aren't they both made in China, in probably the same factory?
My OLD Acer Chromebook is still chugging along. I bought a Lenovo to replace it and the G and H keys don't work!

Probably all built in China but the build quality on these budget Chromebooks can vary a lot. The Lenovo 3 is really solid compared to the budget Acer, Asus and HP models.
For $50 on eBay you can get a Lenovo 300e G1 11.6" IPS touchscreen notebook with 4GB RAM and 64GB eMMC that can run Windows 10 (which you have to install)
These are used but the one I got was in good shape, and the battery lasts about 6 or 7 hours.
They come without an OS but it was easy to load Windows 10. After that I installed a Lenovo driver update program that updated the BIOS and device drivers.
I'm pretty fussy about screens and this is a really nice one. It's IPS and is bright and has good contrast. Reading text is a pleasure.
The CPU is fast enough for my purposes. I never feel like I'm waiting.
It's a bit heaver that I'd like - even though it's only about 3.2 lb. I'm going traveling soon and I'm not sure if I should take this or my 15.6 notebook which is obviously bigger but weighs just a tiny bit more.

I've been using this Lenovo 2-in-1 11.6" Touch-Screen[bestbuy.com] for almost 4 years. It's touchscreen and the screen looks great, but at times it seems sluggish or won't give me a cursor until I pull the screen forward a little (like maybe it thinks it's in tablet mode). It's still a great device, but if the chromebook you mentioned or the one in the OP is better, I'd probably go ahead and upgrade now.

I searched Lenovo 300e G1 and cheapest on Ebay is $100. Touchscreen/Tablet mode is awesome for traveling/watching movies on planes!

You are correct! I clicked on my original order and didn't notice the seller had sold all his items. I actually got it for $45 + tax so if I was you I wouldn't pay much more. Just create an alert in eBay for 'Lenovo 300e'. One will show up eventually.
Just make sure you don't accidentally select those dreadful Chromebook versions.
I've been using the IdeaPad 3 14in touch screen. I did have to replace the screen under warranty, that took a few weeks as they said they couldn't "replicate the problem" . It chugs along pretty well, But it was also around 150...
Maybe I'm missing something , but I didn't find this deal to be compelling. I have a mediatek 8183, touch, and 64gb storage.and a 14in 1920x1080 res screen.
I realize that this is 50 percent cheaper..
