There are people who need cheaper computers and the Ryzen 3 is still decent for a low-end laptop.

This would make a great chrome flex chromebook if only it had FHD resolution. The Ryzen would blow away all the Celeron N4xxx in most chromebooks.

It's even worse than you think, it's essentially 1st gen mobile Ryzen refreshed (there are no Ryzen 1xxx APUs):

That Snapdragon OLED 2-in-1 detachable for ~$280 the other day would be a much better option for the "light" stuff, especially video watching. Assuming that was not a price mistake and the $100 off coupon actually worked.

It has been pointed out that ChromeOS Flex does not support Android or Crostini, so I hope that is not a deal breaker for you. If they add support for both of those in the future, it would be a lot easier to recommend.

Better off buying a used higher end laptop for slightly more.. thar wasn't heavily used on battery.
