The "best" coupon in mine is "buy a double cheeseburger/6 piece nuggests, get one free". For the last two years there was a "free cookie/pie with $1 purchase" but they finally (sadly) got rid of that one - maybe (for my health) that's for the best haha.

A few years ago, my local MCD had bad internet. You had to disconnect from their mcd wifi and use cellular data, just to make the mcd app work. Thankfully now fixed, but I learned a lot about the app.
If you open the app and it can not get today's codes, the app just shows you the old codes which are probably expired. Betting this is your problem. It can also happen if your phone has weak signal at the mcd location and you are on cellular data.
FWIW the BK app also suffers from a similar issue. I had a whopper wed offer that was still there one Thursday. I was curious and tried to do an online order. It processed it until the checkout page then said An Error has occurred and your order can not be processed at this time. Well drats but that's the way it goes.

Oooooh this actually makes so much sense. It only happens at a particular MCD location, all the others are no issues. My cellular signal might be weak at this location. Bizarre they would give you an old code, but that's most likely what's happening. Thanks!!
