GamePass Ultimate

I had a GamePass deal previously, found on SD. It was one where I had a lower membership and upgraded to Ultimate, and gave me X number of months. That membership has lapsed as of last month.

Just before that, I had seen some deals on the Hot Deals page for like 36 months or more, for really low prices, but I wasn't ready yet to pursue those. I wasn't even sure if I would be eligible, as it seemed to be for those who had expired Ultimate memberships?

Anyway, I'm now looking for a new deal and would like to know if I should wait (assuming there are no stellar deals right now).

Should one come along shortly, would I be eligible now for it?

Lastly, has anyone tried the streaming games option? I tried it a bit on Windows 11 and it worked pretty well (at least the latest MS Flight Simulator and Forza New Horizon), aside from a minor glitch/pixelation that went away. I'm wondering how well it would work on a MacBook Pro 14 M1 Pro. I've seen online articles showing several ways to do it, including installing some sort of Android environment, using Parallels, and one other way I am not recalling right now. Which way would be optimal/best?

I'm really impressed with the battery life I'm getting from the MBP 14 base model so far, and its ability to play CS:Go and GTA V (using crossover). Yes, it's not given the much higher frame rates or more impressive graphical details as on Windows with an NVIDIA GPU, but it's definitely playable, even on battery without really getting hot or churning up the fans. I can even play in low power mode just fine.

So, rather than install Windows games on the Macbook and use crossover, taking up expensive and limited 512GB SSD space, and run taxing games on this modest hardware that isn't really optimal for gaming, it seems that playing streaming games might be a good option here!

Thanks!
