Tool only is $140 on amazon, seems like a pretty good deal.

If you don't have an electric ratchet and you work on cars (or anything else where you regularly use a ratchet) I HIGHLY recommend it. You save SOOO much time removing nuts/bolts. I have the 1/4" drive version of this and absolutely love it.

Getting a battery impact gun was a game changer for me from working with hand tools, but I'm realizing that a lot of bolts are harder to get to with an impact-Working on a VW Passat suspension yesterday (pretty complex) and realized one of these would probably be ideal. I'm in the ridgid ecosystem though, so debating that one vs this one. Ridgid is $179 for just the tool, but their warranty is unmatched and the tool is well reviewed.

An impact with an adapter for sockets is definitely good as well, but as you've discovered, clearance can be an issue A LOT of times when working on a car. That's where the electric ratchets work best.
