Honestly if this hits 1000 it's almost a must buy deal. If crypto rises.. gpu will go back up. 4000 series might not even come this year especially if China invades taiwan. Pretty sure the new gpu will be coming out at higher prices then previous. So 3080 was 700 for non aib cards. I'm thinking atleast 850 but with much less ram for non aib cards. So cards from evga will be like 900-950. Fight off scalpers for a few months. You'll lose some RT cores but if your like most people you don't even use RT anyways. 1k I think would be the great price and wouldn't have to wait months or worry about crypto jumping up again.

Worth it or wait it out? My GPU right now is good enough for my needs but I'd upgrade to the 4080 most likely otherwise. Will the performance of the 4080 be a) better than this and b) cheaper than this? I game, have 3x 1440p monitors and do video editing in after effects and premiere in 4K.

Pairing with the Supernova 1600w 80+ plat psu puts it at about $1,400 after taxes.

Big time wait bro

Yeah $1000 and I'm in mainly because I don't really need a GPU right now. But for $1K, sure I'll spurge.

Nobody can accurately answer a) or b) since there are no published facts about anything. Why can people not get this through their heads? It's like asking will BTC hit $0 or $100K?

It will be interesting. Because of the weird covid demand they way over produced, so here we are. I can't see them making this mistake again so soon with 4000 cards. Remember 2080ti's were $1200. With our serious inflation I couldn't guess how much, or how many 4000 series cards will be.

Hurts now seeing them new for 1/3 of that price.
