I've been in the industry for almost 40 years and have bought and sold over a half billion dollars of computer hardware. Gross margin is used in CONJUNCTION with other metrics...there is no "primary" as it is irrelevant without those other numbers. EVGA is a fabless company. they actually manufacture nothing. GPU's are manufactured in Taiwan cards then assembled in China. Then they are packed in boxes by a packing company. You, like most here, think you know something, but your really don't. I've been an EVGA partner since the company was founded. I've been to both Taiwan and chines factories. Most of the products that are shipped by computer companies directly are blind shipped from D&H, TD Synnex, Ingram Micro, or ASI. Those are the 5 largest distributors in the world.

Worth it or wait it out? My GPU right now is good enough for my needs but I'd upgrade to the 4080 most likely otherwise. Will the performance of the 4080 be a) better than this and b) cheaper than this? I game, have 3x 1440p monitors and do video editing in after effects and premiere in 4K.

Pairing with the Supernova 1600w 80+ plat psu puts it at about $1,400 after taxes.

Most leaks indicate the 4080 will perform about the same or better than this card. I can't imagine the 4080 will be more expensive than this. If you're okay with waiting, it seems to be worth the wait.

I really like that this card has the power connector placed at end of card. These bigger board cards are a pain in the ass with triple 8pin plugs pushing on the glass panel of my case.
