This is very portable, throw it the trunk or pick-up truck storage for those emergencies.

Less filler so you get more usable tools in the 206 count.

All 3 size rachets.

Unfortunately, on the 1/2 inch side, no deep set sockets are included. Also, on the 1/2 inch side, no metric sockets are included.

Wish I needed this. Good price for the completeness (except that deep 11mm and less so 16mm) and portability

'throw it the trunk or pick-up truck storage for those emergencies.'

I think there are better even more compact sets for this purpose, who needs 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" in this case?
This is a set for hobby mechanics.

Care to share them? I agree, that this one is not really sized for keeping in the car all the time.

When you are stuck somewhere and you have to replace a part that has a very tight bolt, you will wish you had that 1/2 wrench. Get a 1/2 -> 3/8 adapter if you need deep sockets with the 1/2" ratchet. And with that setup you can extend the length even further with both extensions.

I disagree.

For the most part 1/4 and 3/8 is enough but when you are stuck on the side of the road because one rusty bolt won't come off you are gonna be dying to have a 1/2 ratchet that gives you just enough extra leverage to bust it off.

Personally I would rather have a few extra tools and a bigger case than less tolls for more space. I think the space difference will be negligible for most people but that's up to the person.

I have this. Racket broke after probably a dozen uses. I went in store to get a replacement. I have to call to get a RMA.
Edit I paid $69 last October
