I looked into this grill - if you leave it outside in rain- it disintegrates . Check it out before buying.

Thanks, great deal on a pretty big shichirin.

For anyone else that bought, these types of traditional Japanese grills are made of fired diatomaceous earth. It's not ceramic, and will fall apart if allowed to get too wet.

They're meant for high heat grilling, and do best with binchotan or ogatan charcoal.
