Got 2 a while back for 12 each, so nice little deal. no need for more at this time.

Counter space is typically much harder to come by than drawer space....just measure the surface area of your counters versus all of your drawers....And no this doesnt take up an entire drawer...i could put 3 or 4 in one drawer if I so desired. It is actually a novel and useful product. Don't know who actually wants a hulking piece of wood on their countertop that's just another thing to attract dust and if you have any kids is actually dangerous and one more thing to have to worry about, as opposed to just putting some drawer locks on.

There's nothing compact about this! Takes up an entire drawer. You're better off using the vertical knife stands on your counter, especially if you're short on drawer space.

I've got this along with their one for silverware in the same drawer and still have room on the side for measuring cups, measuring spoons and some random stuff. She prefers to keep the counters clear of knife blocks and said no to wall-mounted magnet strips, so went with this. For in-drawer options, you can't do much better.

Drawer space is definitely more scarce in my case. The only reason I have anything on my counters is either because it's too big to go in a drawer or the drawers are full. Knives are actually safer in my case on the counter because my kids can reach every single drawer but can't reach the back of the counters just yet. To each their own I guess.

It really depends on your lifestyle, I really like my countertop knife block, but I don't have kids or a lot of stuff on it so there's a market for everything probably.

We have this and it is in a standard width drawer and it doesn't take up the entire drawer. I'd say about 60% of the width which allows the other 40% to be used for shears, a cleaver and other items.

Agreed. Clutter free counter top is my preference.

I bought this from tj Maxx for around 4 bucks. The drawer I have is a little wide, so it fits both this and a 4 slot utensil divider box nicely side by side.

I bought 2 of these and have them side by side in a small drawer, for me it's just enough space to put an old school bread slicer we bought at a yard sale in between. It's the perfect knife drawer.

I'm a big fan of this, which i bought from container store from full price last year. It doesnt even come close to taking up a drawer by itself, i have the silverware sorter from them side by side with loads of room left over.

Well we you inevitably (or not) get more appliances in your life the block is an easy way to free up space unless you are really attached to it then by all means customize your kitchen the way that works best for you.

We bought this but it ended up in the donation pile. Large cleavers didn't fit well. Small knives didn't sit well. Maybe will work if one has a lot of medium sized knives.

Thought about this, but sold the house earlier this year. I think I'll put up the magnetic knife blocks on the wall in our next kitchen.

I highly highly recommend this. Makes organizing knives so much easy and doesn't clutter up the countertop. Easily one of my favorite item in the kitchen.

I got this deal last time, ended up giving it to goodwill. I got the bamboo drawer organizers on Amazon which work much better.
