I have owned a couple of these for years tried most popular brands i stuck with this one i think its great feel free to ask me anything i can also provide picks upon request (By the way it will look broken/uneven when first arrived thats because tension is needed) i use them for my cats if you have a very slim kitty it can squeeze through but easily modify the most sturdy one can find at this price imo bought another for parts btw i paid around $40 for mine super easy to install

I borrowed one from my family and it is held up by friction on the sides. The door will not align or close until there is enough pressure from the sides.

Can someone confirm max width? Descript states 41.5" with extensions, does it already come with extensions?
