Completely different jacket than down jacket.

This is meant for wet weather applications. The insulation in this jacket keeps you warm even when it's wet.

This is a good deal if you live in rainy areas. You rarely see more than 50% off past year or two.

I bought one a week ago when it was $149.73 and thought it was a good price! I called REI after seeing this deal. They quickly made a price adjustment and credited my card back $50+tax. REI may not be the cheapest but their customer service has always been excellent.

FYI, I believe this style is discontinued and they are redesigning this jacket for the Fall.... But still pretty good prices although the colors aren't the best.

These jackets' fluffiness and therefore warmth will diminish over time as heat causes these microfibers to band together. I'd stick to real down as real down doesnt melt together over time. Also these feel like trash bags if there is any moisturizer.

These fold up into themselves and are super easy to pack. Haven't found anything that compares for warmth and ease of packing

Any idea if it water proof or resistant ? Without a hoodie I don't get the wet weather usability part thou or is there a collapsible hoodie inside the collar?
