Perhaps just being funny. No problem there. Dimensions (Overall): 22 Inches (H) x 65 Inches (W) x 15.75 Inches (D) is not small in most cases. Not sure why you couldn't put modern 75 inch tv on it as it wouldn't be a weight problem and tv feet are not usually at the very edge.

Now looks on the other hand.. shudder (subjective of course).

I must be confused. This is a TV "stand", but the pictures all show the TV hanging on a wall mount. What's wrong with this picture?

You put the audio system, vinyl, DVD, board game. Many people hung tvs but still add the furniture for storage. Good place under the TV, apart from design

How's ventilation in stands like these? It seems that if the doors were closed (ideal with a child around) things would get hot in there

Well, I wouldn't put a giant vintage Marantz vacuum tube amp inside, but if that's your circle, you're not buying stands at Target. Wink

We have two very similar to this and they usually have pretty decent holes in the back for wires and ventilation. We sometimes drill extras (up high so they're somewhat out of view unless you really duck down.

Ventilation looks like an issue. I would remove the back covers but that would expose the rats nest of wires.

At this price point I'd just get an ikea besta and build to my liking.

I'd simply keep them open back TBH. The idea is to hide electronics and this would accomplish that while not looking cheap. I'm tempted myself but can't mount our TV yet (renting for a year).
