The aptX is the technology of the Qualcomm platform, the Upgraded Version uses the BES platform, so it does not support the aptX codec.

1) The upgraded version supports LDAC while the original one doesn't;
2) The upgraded version is Hi-Res Certified;
3) The upgraded version is with Transparency mode and supports Customized preset EQ;
4) The upgraded version is with Liquid Silicon(softer) earwings.

I have both and have to say the 2s are more comfortable, last longer, and cancel a ton of noise with a good seal. The microphone on the 3s also picks up a ton of ambient noise (at least I'm told) so if you do anything while talking to someone it is very annoying for them.

I have these. They are the most comfortable wireless buds I have used, and the buds themselves have great quality. I have airpods pro and I keep reaching for these first. If they had ANC I'd be all in

So is the Upgraded version worth it or just stick with the regular Liberty 2 Pro?

Yes, they do. If you don't mind the money it costs, I would upgrade to the 3

Probably if you don't mind spending the extra. If ANC is important to you, I would definitely get the 3

Good take here. I havent purchased the 3 so I wouldnt know. I assumed the quality of the 2 pro would carry over to the 3

This might be the cheapest headphone that support LDAC

How do the upgraded version of these compare to the life note 3 that are $40?

I was looking to get new earbuds and found all of the Soundcore products on sale. I ordered the Liberty 3 Pro, 2 Pro Upgraded, and Air 2 Pro to see which one I liked the best.
TLDR: I liked the Liberty 3 Pro the best

Liberty 3 Pro and 2 Pro fit the best in my ear (YMMV). Air 2 Pro did not create a good seal in my ear and felt like they would fall out. I have trouble finding good-fitting earbuds so once again, YMMV. 2 Pro felt a little better than the 3 Pro but not enough to make me pick them over the 3 Pro.

Reasons for choosing the 3 Pros over the 2 Pros
  • Smaller/sleaker form factor. These did not protrude from my ear as much as the 2 Pros
  • ANC with transparency mode (2 Pros do not have ANC)
  • I prefer the touch controls over the physical button on the 2 Pros
  • The charging case is smaller than the 2 Pros and is a little more elegant with the LED which is a nice touch. The slide mechanism on the 2 Pros was not as smooth either, maybe I got a bad unit but it kept getting stuck when I tried to close it from the top pushing in. I had to slide it from the nub on the lid.
  • Multi-point connection - this was another big plus for the 3 Pros. You are able to connect it to two devices at one time. So I can have it connected to my phone and computer and switch between the two seamlessly. The switch over from computer to phone takes a couple of seconds, but it's so much nicer than having to disconnect and connect to the other device.
The Soundcore app for Android is great and I really enjoy being able to change features on the buds such as EQ and ANC on the fly, very convenient.

I was able to order the 3 Pros yesterday on Amazon for $99 and am happy with them over the 2 Pros (even though they were half the price). It looks like the black ones are now $130 and the other colors are back to $170. The 2 Pros at $50 are a great price though and definitely worth picking up unless you want all of the extra features listed above for the 3's.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to hit me up.

Edit: looks like Best Buy has them still on sale for $99
