Got Gift card from apple for the prorated refund amount after cancelling the apple care. They didn't agree to send the refund amount as cash to the bank account because the original purchaser of the iphone from apple was Costco.

The promo from Metro for the iPhone 11 at this $99 price point with the possible $50 rebate after 3 months, came out about 5 months after the iPhone 13 was released. So, yes they might very well have the same or similar deal on the iPhone 12 after the 14 comes out, but surely it will be a good number of months after the new release. Don't you think so?

I just can't imagine a $100 promo right away. I would love to be wrong on this one.

For me, the refund amount was $92 + tax - prorated based on purchase date, and start of manufacturer 1-year warranty from May 15. I was sent a link to enter bank account info for refund.

Got the phone and called for the AppleCare refund. They need the serial number and a few screenshots of the Costco order. Phone call took thirty minutes total and got a refund of $91.96. If they offer an Apple gift card then ask for a bank transfer instead and they'll oblige.

Edit: refund amount changed to $99.55 in the official email just fyi

I only paid for one month, at the time of purchase. the price was bundled all together with the price of the iPhone 11's.


They should Auto Unlock in about 5 days HOPEFULLY

Got turned down from Apple when trying to cancel Applecare. They referred me to Costco instead. What are you guys telling them that allows you to get through? Or has anyone successfully gotten a refund through Costco instead?

Successful in getting a refund from Apple. They initiated a bank transfer and it should be deposited shortly. I just called and spoke with the agent. Did not mention anything about Costco. Just told her that I want to cancel a prepaid apple care + and she just did that. No hassle whatsoever. She even gave me option to refund to my bank account so I just gave her my account # and routing #. All she asked was for the serial number.

Refund amount was $91.22
