Like to gamble? Secondipity has a great price on the Refurbished Sony 83A90J 83" OLED TV. $3824.15 after discount in cart. 90 day warranty, but you can buy an extended warranty.

It's a risk… some people have gotten smashed TVs from them and returns are a pain due to the size of the item, while others have hit the jackpot. If you're feeling lucky, this price can't be beat…

You would have 2 B insane to risk over 4k with tax on the type/condition of products they send out

Can folks from the last secondipity deal comment on the quality, example, like new, used. A bid deal not worth the time dealing with this if the return is difficult.

You should gamble smarter.
Wait a year and get this for less than half or even lower. TVs and Phones always get a year or so later. Not much tech changes happening now.

Based on the last few similar deals it's been horrible.
Do you realize how difficult and a hassle it is to move, unpack, setup, test and then take down, repack, reseal, move again and then have it sit in the way of one of your rooms while you wait a week plus for trucking company to pick it back up? Imagine doing this fully 3 times!!!

I am still testing out a x90j I got. So far there are a few UI quirks, one time it froze up, but other than that, it's been great. Maybe one little software glitch requiring restart, sometimes a little slowness in apps, but I can't complain. Now if I was about to drop or could afford to drop $4k for a tv, I don't know that I'd be buying it refurbished?

Thanks for convincing me my time is valuable and I shall refrain.

I have gone through 3. 1 smashed screen, 2nd vertical line in screen, 3rd few small spots in screen, plus constant reboots and shutdowns, then front red led error code flash...
Probably not going to bother even attempting a 4th try, as all are just recycled returns from other sd'ers that rejected them

I wondered if they do recycle our returns…like obviously if we find one someone else commented on before with same issue means they never refurb.

I ordered a refurbished 85in Sony x900h from Secondipity's eBay page in February 2020. The box was beat up a bit but intact. The TV however looked and worked like new. The serial number didn't match the one on the box, but I didn't care. I got a third party warranty that covers the refurbished TV for 5 years. No issues. YMMV obviously, but I wanted to throw my experience out there.

You wouldn't think it's as much of a hassle or waste of time until you go through it...and then go through it 3 times!! And that was just with a 65". With an 83" that is WAY heavier, WAY more difficult to move and setup and WAY more fragile due to the size and weight. I really can't believe they even bother to ship the type of things.
The local freight shipping company told us that 1 of the 83" in the local markets arrived with nothing in the empty box and then one of the 65" arrived with a 42 or 46" in the box instead...

How do they get away with shipping an empty box? The weight is listed on the BOL.

That is what I was thinking as well, but I know the bol just lists preset weights. I know on a few of mine they listed over 120lbs, but the set is only like 60

That's what a credit card is for.

If it arrives broken and the merchant refuses to do anything about it, you can simply dispute it with your credit card.

Been happy with my refurb OLED from second.

Box was HORRIBLE but TV looked good no damage.
