Like what I just said "My Amex 5x Amazon.com offer is expiring soon so I have to use up the leftover $135 anyways to fully utilize the offer. Bought 9 * $15 and we'll see what I get this evening. Even if it's just worth $135, I've got 5x points from the Amex offer so nothing to lose for me at least."

Canceling yourself is dumbest thing you could do. I'll let them cancel if they feel it's a mistake or I'll show them the screenshots I took showing $15 for a $20 GC if they don't send $20 GCs. Worst case they'll void out the gift cards and refund.
I've gotten a refund on an Amazon GC before that wasn't used and they voided out the card and gave me back the money.
