Most of posts who got $15 cards just saying they got them and no proof, but their is 1 screenshotshowing the chat between the poster and a cs that confirmed amazon is sending out $20 card. It is hard to believe both sides man 😂 but I chose to believe the guy who posted the screenshot for now
I agree. Zero proof shown for $15, but evidence from Amazon CS that it is $20 makes me keep my order.

Why would Amazon automatically put $15 in substitution for $20? They would not unless it was a discount. There is no option for $15 and the custom amount window wont take $15 or anything less than $20 when put in manually. No way this is a glitch. This is a discount. Plus the $15 was in red font indicating a discount.

The only winner here is the OP, with 847 thumbs up and probably a boatload of rep points.

Just because CS says they will be $20 does not make it so. Just because they say they will refund it or put a note in means nothing. The CS just wants you off there back. the proof is in the actual card you get

Was able to cancel 130 of the 200 ordered across accounts. 70 were too far into fulfillment.
Were you able to confirm it's only 15? If so, how?

You are an amazon executive and 3rd quarter profits increase because bunch of slick dealers bought Amazon gift cards. Joking, lol.
I wish, then I wouldn't be in a thread about saving $5 on a gift card and would just buy whatever I want xD

Have you seen any evidence that people are receiving $20 gift cards? Or are just choosing to ignore all the various people with various account ages and post histories showing evidence that they are $15, when it was clearly a price mistake with nothing suggesting that the cards are $20. Even the denomination on the product page is listed as "0" and not "20".

Maybe people like you want people to not cancel orders so that they all get stuck with $15 gift cards that they paid $15 for, if we are randomly speculating.
You know what suggests they are $20? The farking listing we all clicked when we bought. If anyone thinks this won't end in either a) x amount of $20 gc for $15 each or b) mass cancelation, they are so butthurt they missed out that they aren't thinking clearly. Worst case they cut $15 gcs and allow returns/close the cards.

But is it inflation-proof like Stanley Nickels?

Yeah, there are various posts by people with all sorts of account ages and posting histories showing evidence of $15, but not a single person saying $20. My order said "Denomination: 0" not even "Denomination: 15" or "Denomination: 20".

I am by no means suggesting people might not get $20 or can spend time arguing with customer service to try and explain how they thought they could exploit a price error and would like a refund or a $5 credit, but for many not worth it.

There are plenty of other deals with Amazon for discounts, so I personally do not want a lot of face value gift cards from them, but some people might not care, they should keep their orders if they want.
I definitely agree people are mostly likely getting $15 cards right now. I do think that based on the amount of people having CS saying they SHOULD get $20 GCs, there is plenty of opportunity to fight/get some sort of credit back.

I'm probably going to reel back some of my orders and keep some standing, using those as leverage to get some sort of credit. Not worth the mark for a charge back, and don't want to many orders where they won't want to help me because they'd lose too much off the whole ordeal.

Pretty sure it said $20 dollars, min amount $20 dollars.. you couldn't make it $15 if you wanted to....
