80 cents more for the c186 "sniper" model of the same drive, and you don't have to deal with lost caps.

OTG adapter. It effectively creates an extra USB port.

Totally a use case thing.

Lots of PCs don't have a native SD reader, or are bootable from SD card.
There's no SD slot in my car for my music library, or on my fire stick or my Blink camera controller.

SD (& micro) cards are super slick way to move and store info for sure. Crazy that I have a tb of data on something the size of my pinky finger nail.

Really Good deal on basic portable storage. Good call on Check Flash too, it should always be in the toolbox. But running it on 256GB of slow drives... Might want to get a snack Smilie

May end up being a decent drive - if the flash controller is good, speed may be fast.

But a bit of mystery meat - never know how it's gonna come in!

Looks like it might be a little too fat to sit comfortably next to other peripherals.

Just something to consider in case you're using it with a Rpi or other devices with stacked USB ports.

Do people still use flash drives?

I stopped using them about 5-6 years ago. SD cards are easier to transport and I can use them for multiple purposes, like cameras/Switch/phone/etc. Anything that doesn't fit inside an SD card can go inside a X-TB SSD.

Out of curiosity how does this expand storage on a fire stick? I have a fire stick but no where to plug a USB in

Can anybody recommend me something that has something for a key ring and also a cap-less design?

Most people have 1 SD slot at best.

SD cards are just more fragile.

Most people don't even have a camera anymore, and swapping phone cards not a thing on iphone and infrequent on anything else.

For that kind of thing get a full metal cased drive with integrated keyring from Samsung or Sandisk, it will cost more, but you won't have to worry about it snapping off your keyring.

Also ok if you can handle the length, its almost 3".
