But how can they be different technologies Lithium+ vs Lithium-Ion if they are using the exact same cells? It does seem odd that the other PBP prefixed models all use the newer Chinese cells, but supposedly this model doesn't. Is it a matter of size/fit that they went with the Sony cells, or is the chart information wrong?

If I'm subject to your state's sales taxes for an internet purchase at 6% (even with local county/municipality tax of 1-2%) it would be between $8.75 (6%) - $11.50 (8%) on $145.98.
Hypothetically if I purchased my item not on sale for $132.99 and instead paid $189.99 + $12.99 shipping = $202.98 @ 7.56% tax = $15.33
Either I was incorrectly charged a 7.5% tax rate on the non-sale price of my item ($189.99) or I was charged 10.5% tax rate on the correct price ($132.99) those are the only two ways I can find to arrive at the tax amount I paid of $15.33."

And to clarify...
My state and county has a combined sales tax rate of 10.5%.
DTO's tax rate is 6% state + up to 2% local/county. So a 7.56% tax charge is right in that range.
I worked to figure out how the taxes came to $15.33, which works with my local tax rate that they shouldn't be charging as they don't have a presence in my state... but their taxes at 6-8% didn't work with the 145.98 to get $15.33... unless you base the taxes on the non sale price of 189.99 + 12.99 shipping = $202.98 @ 7.56% = $15.33
This is why I wrote to them asking to explain the charge, they never wrote back to my legitimate questions. I told them they either charged me my state sales tax incorrectly or they charged me their state sales tax but on the full price of the item. They weren't interested in explaining the charge or refunding my money. I checked the laws in both states (which is how I also found what their exact tax rates locally for DTO) they aren't required by their state to collect or pay tax for out of state sales, my state is very specific that for a business to charge sales tax, they must have a physical presence here and a business license to operate in the state... DTO has neither.
It's been a weird luck of the draw. I went on a few Ryobi binges during sales that took forever. But then my father in law got a 40V blower + battery + charger and he got it in 5 days.
Perhaps complexity of the order factors in, since most of us are stacking the cart to make shipping not a dealbreaker.
What does meticulous mean exactly? You're not physically abusing them, that's it?
For Lithium ion batteries, what matters most for longevity (or reducing longevity rather) is time spent above ~80% charge, and how many times you've charged beyond 80%.
You should be storing your batteries at or below 80% if you want them to last, and discharging them as close to 0% as you can (without fully discharging), to partially self heal the cracks formed in the anodes from high states of charge, every once in a while.
