This laptop does not know how to sleep (by default). If you leave it on sleep for a day or more, it shuts down by itself and everything you had open will be gone.
I have an older version with a Ryzen 4700U and I love it. It can even handle light gaming. Have never felt limited by the 8GB of RAM. Build quality is very nice. Been running Windows 11 on it with no issues.
There is no way 8GB on a laptop like this is a deal breaker. It isn't capable of playing high end games where you would need 16GB. I just cannot see ever needing more ram. I'm running Ableton Live on one.

Hi. I bought the same recertified (unfortunate that this deal comes up now brand new although I got it slightly cheaper w 6% ebay CB), and every time it comes out of sleep we get a BSOD. Can you explain what you mean? I wonder if it has something to do with the BSOD errors we are getting.
It started with the same old "Unexpected Storage Exception" stop code error. I reinstalled windows from scratch. Now we are getting other errors when waking up from sleep like "Kernel Mode Heap Corruption" or "Memory management" stop code. All occur immediately after coming out of sleep.
see attached pics. My college student has this away at college now so its going to be a little bit of a nuisance to have to ship it back right now for repair.

The drive might be faulty? Not sure. I would try to reinstall drivers for the memory, ssd, and gpu first. Then replace the drive and see if you still get the "Unexpected Store Exception". If you don't, but the other errors still show up, run memory tests like Windows Memory Diagnostic and see if anything shows up.
If they're busy, they can try using hibernate mode instead of sleep for now.
Some laptops don't play nicely with Windows reset / reinstall with Windows ISO from Microsoft website in my experience. Did you reinstall through Acer Care Center app?

I would have thought that the windows reinstall would have covered the driver reinstall. We arent getting the Unexpected Store Exception error anymore after the reinstall. We have gotten the other 2 BSODS since the reinstall.
Also, we just reinstalled from recovery in control panel. I wasn't even aware of an Acer Care Center app. We will look for that.
