I did same yesterday.
My receipt shows the case on the top as 39.99 - 39.99 for SAMSG MB PHN BNDL 1.
Same order number with the phone but the case already shipped today. Just got an email from best buy.
Were you able to choose the case color?

I don't know when the trade in deal ends but you may want to consider just trading in your phone now while you can get all this credit. It'll be a $X00 coupon and a $X00 gift card (can't remember how much your phone is worth but, for example: an $800 trade in is a $500 coupon and $300 gift card). You can hold on to them and buy when/ if the phone prices drop.

Again, I don't know when the trade in promo ends and I'm also not sure of the exact terms of the coupon but I do know you can use it later. I think it expires in October. So I think it may be prudent to lock in your trade in value first.
I was thinking to do this but scared to lose both the phone and the trade in coupon. S20FE is 600 bucks trade in so will it be a 300 coupon and 300 gift card? I bought the phone for 275 so might still be worth if this is the breakdown. Can anyone answer please?

The deal may be dead or YMMV at least for some phones for trade in. Just tried it at two stores and the second store was helpful. Tried the trade in a Pixel 3a XL and the system would not allow it at the $200 promotion price; not matter what they did, the standard $25 value as if doing it online. The second store called some folks and said it was a corporate thing that is blocking it in the system. I am curious if anyone was successful with a pixel 3a XL or something change since the start. BestBuy not honoring their own promotion is pretty disappointing.

Just got back from Best Buy. Traded in S20 FE 5G for S21 FE 5G. After everything, brought home the S21 FE + $92 gift card.
In my case, I had to activate (activate today) the phone on my carrier (T-Mobile) as a device upgrade, otherwise the S21 FE would be priced at $699 instead of $499. Without activation I would have had to pay around $133.

The coupon ($400) expires on Oct 02, 2022. They didn't give the printed out coupon to me, but I took a picture of it.

I was successful today at Best Buy in person, traded in Galaxy Z Flip3 5G 128gb purchased from Best Buy promo last week ($200) for a Samsung S21 FE 5G 128gb Unlocked.

First step was to tell them I wanted to trade in the Z Flip3 with the Samsung Promo, they entered my trade in IMEI in the system. At the end when the device value pops up, there is a banner at the bottom of their screen for the Samsung promo; they will click the banner and type in "Samsung" as the promo code. The $800 was split as $500 Samsung credit which has to go towards the device cost and $300 Best Buy Gift card as the rest.

Next step was ringing up the device with activation in store. Gave them my carrier information, the S21 FE was added to my carrier account, kept my same SIM card, and everything was rung up.

Final take home was the Samsung S21 FE 5G 128gb unlocked plus a $300 Best Buy gift card, only paid the $200 for that initial Z Flip3. Amazing deal, no major hassles at all!
Damn, I traded S20FE for S22. guess it's going back to the store tmr due to still not opened and within 14days return. will do the S21FE free with pocket changes to take home. Smilie

Just got back from the bb store. Rep was helpful but had no clue how to apply the promo. I was trying to trade in s21 for a s22. All it was showing was $280ish for the s21 and the rep was telling me that promo means "upto 800". No luck for me.

It would show a much lower price at first but then he need to apply the promo code "SAMSUNG" to get the actual promotional trade in value. It was showing something around $145 for my S20FE but once the rep applied the code SAMSUNG the trade in value changed to $600. You may ask him to try this if possible.

If the rep didn't put in the "SAMSUNG" promo code on the trade-in then it means they didn't even try engaging the promo. The box to put in the promo code only comes up clicking on a blue banner that appears at the bottom of the screen during the trade-in process, ignoring the initial trade-in value and just proceeding to check out.

They can order for pickup at their store or another store, or ship to your home. Trade-in and phone purchase must happen in store.

Finally did this offer today after work on an S22 Ultra 256GB. Due to mishaps I needed to upgrade my S10+ urgently, and this deal fit the bill. I know some people said the Ultra is a fair bit more expensive than the S22+, but I like the larger screen, S-pen, and extra features. Plus I'll have a higher trade-in value after I'm done with the phone. That might even be this Black Friday if an amazing deal comes along.

Trade-in phone was an "impaired" Note20 I found on eBay a few days ago for $130 excl. tax from one of the larger used phone dealers. Only things wrong with it were missing S-Pen and hardly noticeable screen burn. Locked to xfinity but clean ESN. In fact it was in such good condition I hesitated whether to just keep it as my upgrade and not do the deal. But who can say no to the "profit" if I can trade it in for $800.

Store experience was initially painful. Every agent knew about the promo but nobody knew how to do it except two guys who were of course busy with other customers. Maybe it was just the time of day I went in. Once I got one of them who knew what they were doing, he was very nice and process went smooth.

Some observations:

- I was able to watch the agent's screen throughout. The trade-in workflow looked very similar to the one on the Best Buy website except there's an extra blue banner at the bottom when checking out that reveals a promo code box. Putting in "SAMSUNG" activated the promo on top of the initial trade-in price (same as what gets quoted during online trade-in).

- Note20 trade-in price was $250. The promo adds $50 to that to give $300 issued as a GC and attaches a $500-off purchase coupon to the trade-in receipt. Missing S-Pen and network lock didn't affect the trade, but IMEI was of course entered so not sure if clean ESN mattered. Agent didn't hesitate to choose "unlocked" as the variant even though I told him it was locked to xfinity. Apparently it's just for choosing the "U" model which is the one used for xfinity, US cellular etc. as well as unlocked "U1" phones.

- Purchase coupon says expiry 10/02 but I wouldn't rely on this to mean the trade-in promo to get the coupon expires on that date. Nice agent let me take the coupon home afterwards and I attached it to this post for those who are curious what it looks like. I wish I remembered to ask him when the promo ends.

- Trade-in and purchase were done as two completely separate transactions. In fact the agent did them on different machines. He also emphasized I didn't have to use the GC towards a phone purchase today, but I wondered if that's true for the coupon as well. Maybe you can do the trade-in and just walk out and not buy a phone, and use the coupon later before 10/02. But if the trade-in was greater than the purchase price you should definitely be able to keep the difference in GC as previous posters have said.

I am a little bit confused about the 'activate now (upgrade device)' option. I am a Tmobile customer, have an account with them. But I do not want to add a new line, and would like to use a non-tmobile sim on the device that I'm going to purchase. So if I upgrade and add the device to my account, can I simply take my sim off and put in another sim? Since these phone would be unlocked, do I need to do anything? Any advice or insight would be very much appreciated
