these are not carrier trade ins, they are trade ins for unlocked phones. There is a promo sheet they should have with the info on the promotion. I did this deal 3 times. Each time, the phone had a trade in value of $500 and then got a $300 Best Buy gift card, so $800 total value for the trade. All the phones were over $800 after tax, so I had to pay more out of pocket to cover the difference.

if it requires carrier activation, that takes place after the trade.

I tried the other day at same store but that rep did not know what he was doing so I left and did it today instead. Deal is still active. Did it this morning. Rep I had today was very knowledgeable about promo. Even tried doing 2 trade promos towards 1 Z Fold 4, unfortunately even though the promo codes had different serials only 1 promo per phone applied, I saw it on the screen the second promo automatically zero'd out waiting for another phone to be scanned. At least he tried! Would of been sick if it worked.

Went into BB today and got really lucky. The guy just got did the deal himself today and was playing with his new Flip 4. So I came in stating that I would like to do the Samsung Trade in and he already knew exactly what to do. Got a Flip 4 128gb unlocked under activate now (using my brother's Tmobile account) and apparently for TotalTech member it's $849 - $600 (I traded in the S20+), and once everything is done, get an additional $100 BB gc. So about $160 out of pocket factored in the $100 BB GC at the end. I believe that deal is only for TotalTech members so YMMV. Very happy with this deal and how smooth it was.

Was it easy to use activate now using your brothers T-Mobile account? They don't check to see if you're the account owner? What info did they need from your brothers account?

Can someone please share how many months minimum do we need to keep T-Mobile or at&T or Verizon after new activation to get the activate now deal? I am guessing if it's 2 months and we get a minimum plan of say 45 bucks, is still going to be 45+45+35(or whatever that activation fee is) and still end up being a good deal no for the ultra?

Need to give them the last 4 digits of account owner's SSN and the phone number of the upgraded device. You need to have an active device with that phone number with you since they will send a code to the number for verification.
