Today, tried chatting with couple of agents to price match since s22 ultra went down by $250 (activate today) and both agents suggested me to visit store for price match. I visited the store an hour back and am told that the device which I bought is unlocked activate later, which doesn't qualify for price match.
Any suggestions?

There are two different things going on here. (1) Trade in the phone to get the elevated trade in value. (2) Buy the new unlocked phone with the value from the trade in. TREAT THESE SEPARATELY.
Earlier in the deal it was straightforward because you did the trade in and then you bought an unlocked phone with activate LATER, which does NOT require your carrier or cell phone account to ever come into play.
Now that you are trying to get the ACTIVATE NOW phone because it is lower priced is when the problems come in because the rep is approaching it wrong. The guy I had today STARTED with the trade in, associated with my Verizon account, first. That does not and will not work. It's not how the process works and there's no place to get the promo code in for the elevated trade in values.
Have them just do the straight up trade in, FIRST. No account information needed except maybe your Best Buy account (they used mine to do the process). When they are done with that you will have your coupon and gift card that, together, give you the total trade in value. It will be different amounts and ratios depending on the total. For $800 tier it is $500 coupon and $300 gift card.
When that is done, NOW do your phone activation. I did an upgrade so they have to go through your carrier account. If they don't do the activate now then the price is the higher price (as of how the prices for the phones are right now). If they choose activate now then it should come up with the price you expect (*in my case it was still wrong by being $50 more so it needed to be adjusted - I mentioned this earlier).
When they go to ring you up, now you present your coupon and then use your gift card. That's it. Put it this way - you could have walked out of the store after doing your trade in and have the coupon + gift card. You didn't need to buy a phone right then and there. So the trade in should have no bearing on getting a phone on an activate now or activate later discount account. That excuse from them is just wrong. I mean, you could walk into another Best Buy that didn't do your trade in and ask to do the activate now promo. What are they going to do, tell you that you can't use your coupon and gift card when it's time to pay?
As far as the price adjustment I got I think that it will depend, as always, on the rep you get. During my chat session I said that last week I bought the S22+ for $799 and that it is now $749 and that I'd like a price adjustment. They said they had to check the details and came back and said it was eligible. However, they were having trouble refunding my purchase so they asked if they could issue a gift card, instead. Of course I said yes. So good luck with doing that.
Another thing is that I had plenty of time to look at the coupon and other paperwork I got. I even took photos but don't need to post them because they are identical to the coupon someone already posted. You actually can't take the coupon with you because it has instructions for the cashier to "dispose after use". In addition, at my store it printed double sided and the back side actually had the travel/information ticket they have to attach to your trade in phone.
Even though the coupon says valid until 10/2, I would NOT interpret that to mean the trade in promotion will last that long. Just that your coupon is valid until then. So you should use it when the phone you want is on sale for a price you want. If you wait too long the price may go up (as we've already seen a few times) and not go back down. So it's a risk to hold on to the coupon for too long. Also, the phone may go out of stock. I know the S22+ 256gb has been in and out of stock this past week.

edit: Just skimmed the comments and see that someone else also had the wrong price come up. The activate now price for the S22 Ultra 128gb is $849. It's plain as day on the site. But it seems the Best Buy system makes it come up as $899.99. They had 3 different reps checking their site on their phones vs in the system and it was wrong. They had to call the manager over to make the manual price drop adjustment. So be ready for that or else you'll likely be asked to pay $50 more than you expected. Not sure if this happens with any other phone.

I should have brought a cable to do the data transfer. (You think they would have one...). Then they take my phone and put it with geek squad. I am nervous as hell because I don't trust kids with my data. So I waited about an hour for the data and finally got out of there. The whole process was 2.5 hours I believe. The first hour figuring out the promotion, etc.
Question is, can I do this again if I find an Ebay phone? Or will Verizon flag it? It did have a section for "swap sim" on the activation.

Did they ask you to "activate" onsite by inserting your vzw sim?

On top of that I asked to make sure I could leave with the phone unopened. He thought I was crazy and insisted he HAD to open the phone and insert the SIM to activate it. I said I didn't want that because it's for my wife and we'd like to sit on it and decide if we want to keep the phone (it's huge). ANd if he opens it now I'll be hit with a restocking fee. He still said he has never done that and asked another member about it. The other person told him he absolutely could do it. He said what I had already asked the original guy to do: "activate the phone by scanning the SIM and outside of the phone box, as you always do, and then just don't open the phone. He can take it home like that. If you open it he'll have to pay a restock fee if he returns it.".
So here's the catch - doing so will switch the SIM card on that account to the new SIM. My wife's phone stopped working at home because now, officially, in Verizon's system that account has a new SIM card. I logged into the VZW account to verify this. So I was forced to put the new SIM in her current phone but it still would not work. In the VZW account page I was not able to switch the device back from the newly purchased S22 Ultra to her current phone, because it still said she was on her current phone. I thought I'd have no choice but to open the phone but then I called and used the automated VZW system to say "activate phone" and when I chose her phone number it said it will be done in 15 minutes. We rebooted her original phone with the new SIM card in it and it worked again.
I think this process is kind of new. In the thread for the $299 Verizon Flip 3 people were going back and forth about being charged an activation fee when they used to not. They are basically forcing you into paying them an activation fee by issuing you a new SIM every time you "upgrade" a phone. That way when you try to just continue using your old SIM it won't work. You have to place your new SIM card in and that triggers the activation and they get their $35 fee from you :/.
So yes, (for the person who asked) they did try to open and activate the phone there but they can certainly do it without opening the phone. I don't know, however, if they can "activate/upgrade" the line without scanning and activating a new SIM card. If you were maybe somehow able to convince them to continue using the SIM card you are currently using then you MIGHT be able to circumvent that whole activation fee ordeal. As it stands, when they scan the new SIM card I think you'll be locked into the activation fee. I hope someone can try to pull this off and report back.
