Does the extra $500 apply for Samsung tradein phones only? Will it apply for an iPhone 11? Would be a terrific deal if it does
No, no iPhones. See "eligible phones" in the deal description. You can trade in the iPhone but you have to buy a Samsung.

Edit: oh you might have meant trading in an iPhone 11. The amount of credit you get just goes by the list, any promotional trade-in value is included in that. So for the 11 you would get $400.

Thanks for the quick reply. Still a bit confused

I meant the old trade-in phone. Do I get extra $500 if I trade in an old Iphone 11? Or the $500 coupon "SAMSUNG" only works if you trade in Samsung phones?

I am trying to buy S22 U

Edit: okay. nvm. I was confused. I thought the $500 was extra on top of the TIV listed on BB page...

I've never done a trade-in deal like this before. Here's what I'm thinking about doing. I see that used "good" condition Galaxy S21 5G phones are going for about 300 dollars a piece on eBay. So if I buy 2x Galaxy S21 phones for 300 dollars each, I can then goto Best Buy and get 800 dollar trade-in value on each phone.

If I get a Galaxy S22 Ultra 128gb and S22 128gb my online cart is showing a total of $1661.00 with taxes. I'm not sure if it would be the same price in person. Has anyone tried trading in 2 phones this week who could confirm the total price? Am I looking at it wrong that I would only pay 661 dollars for a S22 Ultra and S22 after taking an account for what I spend on the two S21s?

If you have two lines or are opening two lines, yes you can use one s21 against each of the 2 phone purchases

Sorry, I edited my post after I realized you are trading in the iPhone. The "Samsung" promo code on trade-in only gives you a $500 coupon if you were trading in an $800-tier phone. The credit is issued as a $500 coupon + $300 gift card. Most people have been trading in S21 and Note 20 which gives $800 credit in this promotion. For the iPhone 11 you would get $400 credit issued as some combination of coupon on a new Samsung phone plus gift card, but it won't exceed $400 total.

As my grandma would say "That's a bunch of bunk!" My trade in phone was not purchased from BB and I now have a new phone from BB with the posted deal/sale.

Go to a different store if possible

Is this the H2O one? Where else to get the H2O SIM?
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/h2o-...Id=6421026

The US mobile eSIM trial did not accept unlocked Samsung Fold4 or even iPhone 12pro (both are eSIM compatable)
So your post actually made me go out and do an experiment today...

Previously you were able to buy an H2O sim, sometimes from Amazon for a penny, and transfer the number to them online without creating an account or buying airtime credit. I only have experience doing this with their "prepaid" sim, which is this one [bestbuy.com] but it's a completely blue box. It looks similar to their 3-line sim [bestbuy.com] but it only has 1 sim and has H2O's prepaid credit expiration policy printed on the back. The one you linked is a yellow-and-blue box with calling plans, which I thought was a different sim. You can find the yellow one in Target and sometimes Walmart, but my local BB sells both the yellow and blue varieties.

After your post I wondered if I can do port-in on the calling plan sim as well, so I went to BB and bought one of those yellow boxes. After putting the sim number into H2O's transfer form [h2owireless.com] online, you can select their calling and tablet plans, as well as prepaid credit, so that's making me think all their sims are actually the same after all. Unfortunately now it requires me to put in an airtime PIN (i.e. actually purchase airtime) before allowing me to submit the form.

I called H2O customer service, told them I want to port in a number but only add airtime later, and the agent was able to put in the porting request without making me buy airtime. So I think this route still works for terminating service elsewhere, but you have to call as they "fixed" it online.

I'll edit my original post to make this clear.

Bought 2 phones today. Traded in 2 phones. Rep said the system isn't allowing 2 coupons to be added to one order. I had to buy one phone per order foregoing the 10% discount

This simply isn't true. I've done it twice now. All they have to do is get both phones rung up and then enter the coupons. I don't think they even have to do anything special to select the phone -- it seemed to "just work" as I watched them do it.

Like anything with this deal at BestBuy, it all seems to come down to whether they WANT to help you out.

In their defense, the guys I see at BestBuy just seem busy as heck. And for some reason it takes like half an hour to do the trade-in deal. That's a LOT of time to ring up one customer. So I can understand them not wanting to just try something new when they're not sure it will work.

You're probably right. I get both of them for basically the same price for A/B stock. 270 Flip3, 275 S21. Flip3 is less likely to drop a tier though. Regardless, point was just to have him seize that 400-500 in value.
Do you have particular people that you buy from on Ebay to make sure the A/B stock will not be rejected by Best Buy or in general if something is A/B stock it will be accepted? I'm trying to figure out which phone to buy to use for trade-in.

From watching the actual screens in the past few weeks, it seems BB POS is a real POS... and I don't mean Point of Sale system. There just seems to be needlessly many number of steps for everything and not only is processing each step slow, often the system is down and that takes some of the machines out of action even though others are working. To do this promo with carrier activation, they have to trade in your phone, which prints out a coupon *and* issues a physical gift card (the agent has to hunt down a blank GC if none are handy). Then they have to do the whole carrier activation process (often on a different machine) requiring them to scan in the new phone and a sim card (surprise surprise, sometimes they take ages to fetch those too from the back), and this hilariously prints out a barcode when it's done. Finally they have to process the purchase by scanning in that barcode and the coupon and GC from earlier. I don't understand why they can't do everything on one machine without needing to transfer transactions through printed barcodes. God help them if their printer breaks.

Can I trade in phones that still have money owed towards them? Someone is wanting to sell me an s21, it's AT&T and the imei is clean but when I check the AT&T site it says it can't be unlocked because it's not paid off. Does Bestbuy care about that?
