The starting prices seem very expensive. So much so that the 20% probably doesn't do enough to call this a deal

I have a lot of Kershaws and only started collecting Benchmade recently. I would say they are definitely a step up in quality and worth the price when there are deals to be had. Maybe not so much full price. I have not had any issue with centering or action. If the quality was better years ago then those older knives must be pretty damn amazing.

Edit: coming from kershaw you may not like models like the benchmade bugout if you prefer a hefty feeling knife with more weight. I personally like the lightness of my bugout, but some will say it feels cheap.

I got a Boker 4372 for $49. I know nothing about knives, but it feels really well made. The blade is sturdy and sharp and the auto flip function is pretty cool.

Not trying to start nothing with thee collectors who know about knives, but I bought a Bugout at the last deal here for around $165 ish. I just don't see it. It is "noticeably" lighter than other knives, no doubt about that. The steel is good, but at a real good deal at $165, I just don't get it. But I'm not a collector. The Cvivi's that I've bought, appear to be excellent for the money. I bought those on the 25% off deal too! If it isn't on sale, I pass! lol

I have a mini bug out at home and love it as my EDC. Need a knife at my parents' — get another mini bug out or try a 585?

I really like how light the mini bug feels — I barely notice it. The 585 also looks really light. Anyone with experience with both?

If you're the kind of person that admires luxury, quality, and reliability, then yes, absolutely. If you're the kind of person that either doesn't know what that tastes like or can't afford it, then probably not.

I have the original Bugout but do not think I would want anything smaller than it. Also surprised the mini is priced higher than what I paid just a couple years ago for the original.
