Enjoy your knives made of chinesium.
Likely D2 or 8Cr13MoV since they make tons of both and they are super cheap. Not horrible though. I have a Benchmade Fact and a clone of the same. Pretty hard to tell the difference honestly. The fact was $200 and the clone was like $20 or $22.

I do not buy from Aliexpress anymore though. Had some funky business where the transactions were treated as cash advances instead of purchases. Got hit with three $35 fees when the original items totaled less than $20. CC company took off the charges but did not want to deal with that headache again.

You'd probably notice the difference if you used it hard. A guy I know has a 10 year old Benchmade that is in better shape than a lot of my knives. He does construction and I do office work, for reference.

3rd picture is the meatcrafter and it's not even a knife on the site. How does that work?

This is one of the hardest things I've ever had to say. The Chinese clones are just as good or in some cases much better depending how much you spend....I'm talking $40 for real titanium scales. Also so many colors and material types.

America is absolutely on the decline. We can still make good stuff in limited quantities, but holy hell it's pricey.

I've got 100s of knives...

End rant.

Too rich for my blood. For that much, they don't ever need sharpening right?

That Made in America tag line is such a marketing thing, and there are many people still take pride in buying and using American made products. However, due to raising cost and companies focusing in revenue, a lot of things are not actually made in America, more like assembled in America with parts shipped from overseas.

I have the original Bugout but do not think I would want anything smaller than it. Also surprised the mini is priced higher than what I paid just a couple years ago for the original.
I'm not a big person so I'm fine with the smaller knife. Sadly, my mini bugout cost a little over $140 because I had an REI gift card to use.

I have a mini bug out at home and love it as my EDC. Need a knife at my parents' — get another mini bug out or try a 585?

I really like how light the mini bug feels — I barely notice it. The 585 also looks really light. Anyone with experience with both?
The barrage is NOT light at all. It has full stainless steel liners. I had a mini barrage and thought even that was bordering on being too heavy.

I am sure. I have a magnetic rack with 10 knives that I rotate for EDC depending on mood and what I am wearing. Hundreds of others waiting in the wings. I may have a problem.

Here is an example. I took advantage of BladeHQ's knife day sale and picked up a few. The package came today. One of the knives was Kizer Begleiter in 20CV that is exclusive to BHQ and currently on sale. I liked so much, I immediately ordered two more. $65 for a knife in 20CV, could not resist.

Not trying to start nothing with thee collectors who know about knives, but I bought a Bugout at the last deal here for around $165 ish. I just don't see it. It is "noticeably" lighter than other knives, no doubt about that. The steel is good, but at a real good deal at $165, I just don't get it. But I'm not a collector. The Cvivi's that I've bought, appear to be excellent for the money. I bought those on the 25% off deal too! If it isn't on sale, I pass! lol
I love the Civivi Elementum button lock. Just received a Cogent with the button lock today. Not a good fit for me. Even though it is technically a bit bigger and I thought it would fit my hand well, the shape kind of kills it.

Gotcha. My hands are on the bigger side, so some of the smaller knives just do not feel right in hand.

Excuse my ignorance but I genuinely don't know what is the big deal here. What is even a training dagger? I see four pages of posts but I can't figure it out.

I also have one of the Elementum's (not button lock), and a Pintail. I really like them both, and can't beat the price. Centering was on and no issues.

I'll be honest. I saw the picture and thought this was something else entirely. Thankfully I was wrong.
