Which doesn't really matter for an impact driver for most people…., I have both. Better versions will give you multiple power settings or better lights or slightly different form factor (I do like the new compact ones!) but I still reach for my brushed impact all the time. I never use one long enough for battery life to matter either other than on the rare occasion I'm screwing down decking or something :-).

Newbie question - are the tool heads interchangeable from other toolsets? I bought a Bosch set many years ago and would like to upgrade to this one. Would I be able to still use the old tool heads?

If you mean the screwdriver bits, then yes, all brands of drive bits have 1/4" hex shafts that will work with any brand of driver.

Hart isn't bad, both ryobi and hart are made by the same company. Maybe ryobi is a little bit better but both will be fine for casual DIYers
