Nice! I was interested in a Ryobi kit that I saw a while back that I was hoping would come again that had this minus the sander, blower, impact wrench, but did have a multi-tool. It was $200.

I wanted a multitool and don't really need the sander and blower, but I like Makita more than Ryobi. Is the quality of Makita worth going for this kit over the Ryobi kit, assuming I could get it at that price again?

As for investing in a battery system, I don't really have any battery investments yet.

Really it just depends on what you do. I have ryobi, makita, and milwaukee. I started with milwaukee. couldn't really justify staying in the set for a drywall repair so i grabbed a ryobi multi-tool, and then switched to makita for all the battery deals. So i'm sticking with makita now but really have to ask yourself what you want to do. If its random diy home repairs just save the money and go with ryobi. It works and works well. My makita brushless impact is nice and will be my go to, but it doesn't blow away my non-brushless m18 which i have used for 10 years. However, if you want to get into a system, i think makita is best bang for your buck at the moment with all the battery deals but i really should say its a tie with ryobi since the $/tool is just too hard to beat.

I've been using makita professionally for 15 years. They don't have the best lineup but they're stronger than Milwaukee. Just my opinion
