3. Scroll down page, Under "Display", Select WQXGA (2560 x 1600)
4. Scroll down page, Under "Storage", Select 512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD
5. Scroll Down Page, Under "Keyboard", Select Backlit Keyboard
6. Scroll Down Page, Under "Networking", Select MediaTek Wi-Fi 6E MT7922 (2x2) and Bluetooth® 5.2 combo
7. Click Add to Cart
8. Apply coupon code SCHOOLHP5
9. Your total will be $664.99

Are the Mediatek wifi cards on these as big of a deal as people make them out to be? And does anyone know if this model laptop would be swappable for an intel wifi card if needed?

Does this laptop have an option in the BIOS or software to set battery charging limit?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but truly appreciate the advice I gather from these threads...how does this HP compare to the costco one (if I upgraded the SSD to 1tb of course). NOT worried about a slight price difference, more the specs...THANK YOU!!

the Lenovo will have worse battery life

Mediatek wifi NICs are terrible. Hence why they essentially dont exist in enterprise grade laptops. Upgrading to an AX210 is a $20-$30 upgrade and worth doing, but I cant tell you if this laptop has anti-consumer NIC whitelists like some do.

Damn - this seems solid. I ordered the Thinkbook 13s a week ago - still waiting to ship.

Seems more or less the same specs. HP has a better display (higher resolution and nits).

Thinkbook is a better processor... Ryzen 7 6800U.

HP is showing $680 before tax...

Thinkbook was $750 before tax...

Hmmmmmmm. Not seeing the $664 price though.

Did you use the coupon code?

Thanks for the info. HP Support's YouTube page has a how to video on parts replacement for the Aero 13 and within it they show you how to replace the NIC, so I'm hopeful it's replaceable on this one since it's an aero 13.

I just saw this: HP Pavilion Aero Laptop 13-be0097nr, 13.3", Windows 10 Home, AMD Ryzen™ 7 5800U, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, WUXGA for $700 plus tax for Frontline Heros. This also has Vega 8 vs 7.

Am I crazy or is that a no brainer for 35 bucks more?

Does SCHOOLHP5 code work for military? I just tried but not working for frontline heros acct.

Just FYI, a "Vega 8" is not necessarily faster than a "Vega 7" or "Vega 6". The # doesn't indicate a "higher" or "lower" model, but rather, how many core clusters the GPU has on the chip; "Vega" is the GPU's architecture.

A Vega 6 in a 5600h actually outperforms (~20%) a Vega 8 from a 3500u. This is because the 5600h uses a smaller fab, and clocks the cores to a significantly higher frequency as a result. This makes it very difficult to compare the "same" GPU, even in stock configuration, as most benchmarking sites don't distinguish between these different "identical" configurations.

In which configuration is a vega 8 superior?

Same dilemma here. The screen on the HP is better, but the igpu in the 6800u is significantly better than the Vega 8. I don't play games but I do some digital art. The screen on the Lenovo might be worse but might also help with battery life.
