EDIT, updated Aug 15, the details below were confirmed by John of Vitamix today.
This is a Costco E320 certified refurbished.
How does it compare to the 7500? It has the same motor and power but the 2 lb lighter base does not deaden sound as well.
For reference the 7500 has been posted here direct from Vitamix for $290 -$300 new not refurbished.
Which motor does this have? It has the 2.2 hp motor, their most powerful except for their most expensive commercial machine.
Which containers does it use? It comes with the 64 oz low container with the black handle identical to the one provided with the 7500 and it has the same 4" blades. The E320 is compatible with virtually all modern containers including those for Ascent even though the site implies otherwise. It does not adjust speed or time automatically or read the container size like Ascent. All newer Vitamix containers are dishwasher safe .
Warranty: This refurb comes with a 3 year warranty which includes shipping both ways and a 14 day turn around with an option to pay a deposit for a loaner to be shipped out in advance of return. For up to 30 days after delivery you may pay a discounted price of $75 to extend the warranty out to 6 years. After this 30 days and until the warranty expires it may be extended for the regular price which is currently $120 but is subject to increase. If you want an extended warranty then either a new 7500 or a new Costco is a better deal as these come with a 7 year warranty.

Could you please list these "better deals and better blenders"?
EDIT: Yes, the same power and performance but the E320 has a lighter frame and base and is noisier. Neither are quiet. I use full over-the-head hearing protection with my 7500.
EDIT: The deal blender is confirmed to be a Costco E320 refurb. It has the same motor power and container as the 7500 but the base has a lighter frame and is less well insulated against noise.
You will not find a powerful Vitamix for less. Warranty will be the deciding factor or most. The Ascent series certified reconditioned as an upgrade to E320 makes more sense to some. Ascent next gen series has the longest warranty new, 10 years, 5 years refurbished, but is not currently on promo.

Costco is $300, so $110 more. If you buy the extended warranty, it's $75 more, so the difference is only $35. That's a better deal for not having a used/refurbished motor, 7th year warrant, Costco guarantee, personal cup adapter and a couple of containers with lids.

I bought a reconditioned Blendtec which came with a good warranty and after a number of years, the motor started to die. Blendtec replaced it with reconditioned promptly. Came with new jars. This year our original jar bearings failed so was lucky to have spare jar. Saved money there. Someday will buy Costco version of Vitamix when our Blendtec dies.

For reference the 7500 has been on posted here direct from Vitamix for $290 new not refurbished. The 7500 is a heavier duty unit than Explorain. It weighs more and has a 12 amp motor. I'm glad that I bought it instead of the Costco for about the same cost. 7500 does better with ice.
They are essentially equivalent. You are really splitting hairs between the two:

Any recommendations on what is better? Currently have a blendtec but the bearings in the jar gave out.
