Am going to be one of these: don't buy this. I have had such a headache with this. Yes it is a very good price but not a good product in my experience.

Costco sales a similar Samsung 5.1 with wireless rear speakers but slightly more expensive; that's what I got and it works flawlessly.

This is a known issue with Vizio products. Their TVs do this too. I have no idea why. Their noise gate is too high so when the audio track gets quiet, the gate is triggered and it cuts all audio. It's annoying and one of the reasons I really dislike my Vizio M7Q TV. I'm personally not buying anymore Vizio products until they get their stuff together.

I have an older version of this and I believe I paid $150 for it back in 2015. Not sure if this is regular price or not so it may not be a "deal" but it's a great replacement for on-board tv speakers.

We have a slightly different model (might be previous model, or an alternate line) and whenever there is very quiet sound or no sound the bar cuts the audio feed, and then resumes when there is volume again.
It took me a little while to figure out why the sound felt so disconnected and that was the reason. Has anyone else had this issue, or know of a fix?

I have the same problem with my older vizio. Surround used to cut out a lot like that, now the bar cuts off and freezes up. I have to unplug and reboot currently. My fix is to buy a new one at this point

I bought the Vizio 2.1 Dolby Atmos M215a-J6 for $100. I can still return it. Does anyone experience with these or recommend to spend the extra $50 to purchase this Costco one?

Seem like mine is much older and it have the optical connection. I never experience any freeze or cutoff like that.

I do use bluetooth when connect to my phone and I don't experience freeze or cutoff either. I do experience it with my new earbud, when the audio is quiet I hear a low hiss and than it cutoff. But never experience it with my Vizio soundbar.

Note the wireless draw about 30watt always. I turn it off when not in use which I don't use it much. I use the TV speaker. Turn on my Vizio only when I want louder and better sound.

Looks like the satellite speakers plug into the sub. Does that mean any speakers can be used as satellites or is it some kind of proprietary connection?

I could be wrong, but it's most likely going to be proprietary.
