My regular Nongshim brand has gotten pretty expensive so I thought I try this Jongga brand for a change. I found it at Kroger for $2.99 a bowl but thought it still a little steep for me but I bought one to try anyway.

Turned out to be the best tasting ramen for me and even my picky eater hubby thought it was really good too. This brand will be our brand from now on. Smilie

My Amazon acct. gave me 20% off w/$30 purchase. So the sale price $16.48 got down to $13.18 for a 6 pack.

Some of you might have more than 20% off so check yours.

Did you order more than 1? I see a 20% off if you spend over $30. Trying to buy 1 pack didnt give the 20% off for me.

This is still pretty pricy for me, even though portion size looks generous. I googled to see if i could find it cheaper, and did find it at a Korean grocery store in Atlanta called Mega Mart (some chain store in Korea that has 1 US location.) Pack of 6 for $9.49. Shipping kills it ofc, unless you buy enough to maintain a cheap per unit price shipped, but that'd be buying over twenty 6-packs. Still for anybody in Atlanta area, very good price, and it gives me some hope I can maybe find it at local area Asian grocery stores for a similar price.

So essentially this is $26.37 for 12 bowls, or $2.20 per bowl. Is this a deal?

FYI Costco sells the 6-packs.

Healthwise: kimchi good, ramen bad.

I've heard that Costco have the 6 packs. I never seen it at my local Costco in Dallas areas tho. I founded & bought 1 at local Kroger and liked it so much. Even tho it is expensive still, it's worth the price for a great tasting w/generous portion to me. BTW, the kimchi pack that came with the bowl, I've seen it sold individually at Asian markets for $1.29-$1.59 a pack.
