Green and Blue are cheaper than Black. Osprey Aura is an equivalent backpack in women's sizes and is also special in purple. This is an excellent backpack very comfortable, durable, and well designed. At 4 pounds 10 oz it is too heavy for through-hiking but otherwise an excellent choice.

just wanted to thank you for actually responding/explaining in a non-condescending manner, and adding your own personal experience. weird how many people can't stand a joke (although to be fair i guess was the third person to make one in the same vein)..but i'd still rather have someone attempt to make a joke than crap on a deal they don't care or know nothing about, which seems to happen far more often.

I have a slightly older version of this pack and can say that it is very good. I would trust it on a longer hike/trek. FYI, I believe that the company still offers a lifetime warranty on them. I have heard of people sending their bags in for a repair or replacement free of charge. I have not had experience myself though.

black showing up as $277 as well.

I can attest this is a great backpack. I have the older green/orange from years past. backpacked Norway in comfort.

I wish they also carried the Atmos 50 so I can use for shorter trips.

Great bag, and good price for it - but I'm not sure if this price is really unusual. In my experience osprey bags are often SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper when buying from Europe. Not sure why. But I got this bag for $171 shipped to US a few years back.

where are the overhead speakers embedded? in the shoulder straps, or?

..also i had a chuckle at a $200 backpack, but feel free to thumbs down my niche ignorance laugh out loud
you are not the target audience. I paid $250 for this bag and it has been great.
I also bought an $800 ultralight tent.
Backpacking can get very expensive if you choose, but this is fairly middle of the pack cost-wise as far as backpacking gear goes.
You might not be aware this is a backpacking bag at all though

Like others, I swear by Osprey packs. They also don't go on sale all too often. I've beat the hell out of my osprey pack and it's still going strong. If you're looking for a good internal frame, you can't go wrong here. Just be sure you size it right.
