I have a watch band for the AirTag. I have my kid wear it when he goes to the neighbors house. I use the ping to signal him to come home

I would say yes. I bought a cheap one and put it on dog's collar... after 3 hikes it was trash.

I bought a cheap "genuine leather" Amazon knockoff, and it might have been ground up leather particles in a plastic matrix or something, but definitely wasn't actual leather. It acted like a crayon and got blue all over my wallet while in h pocket. I ended up buying the golden brown apple version and am much happier with it.

This is almost the price of an AirTag. Been happy with my $1 silicone ESR brand key ring off Amazon. To each their own.
