Yup paid Walmart but Dyson shipped the item. This was from another Dyson deal on here a few weeks ago for a V8. Also a few people reported getting items that were clearly refurbs as vacuums were dirty even though Walmart listed items as new. I don't trust any of these Walmart Dyson deals anymore after that.

How does this compare in suction to the V10? My daughter has that one, and it works very well. I have a ball Dyson for carpets but was looking at this for stairs and hardwood. Does it do a good job on those areas?

paid is diff from sold & shipped. this deal is fulfilled by Walmart, at least per website. i think one should be able to return to Walmart if indeed it is fulfilled by Walmart.

Looks like this is the first generation and they are probably trying to liquidate supply so they have inventory for the newest generation.

The attachments all match the "First Generation" vacuum rather than the latest generation one.

True.The last deal on the dyson v8 motorhead origin+ (walmart) had the newer detangling motorhead brush and without the soft roller head that one was priced at $250

Website says "up to 40 minutes of powerful suction". "Max power mode provides 7 minutes of higher suction for more difficult tasks." Does that mean a total of only 7 minutes vacuuming time if using higher suction mode? Does anybody know how long it takes to recharge? My vacuuming usually takes over an hour because I always do more than the floors.

Like others have been saying - if you want older generation V8 with lots of attachments (most you may never use), get this. Otherwise the new anti-tangle V8 with many technical updates + knock off soft roller attachment (from Amazon) is a better deal

Not an expert, but from what I know thats correct. THese are not meant to clean on Max power for too long. I think it take about 4.5 hours. I am also looking for one, but based on my needs I am looking at the V10 or V11. They have better run time and suction power.

Just spoke to Dyson customer service. Using high suction mode does drastically reduce the 40 minutes to 7. That's why they recommend using low to medium suction to get it to last longer, which basically defeats the primary reason for getting a Dyson - the power. Plus, it takes 3 1/2 hours to recharge.
